Thief

He slips through the darkness, hanging over the eave to access the second-story window. The lock is a simple one, that he quickly rakes open before agilely pulling himself into the building. Two sleeping forms never stir as he pads his way into the hall and down into the common room. The loud guffawing man never saw him coming, until the tankard of ale dumped over his head.

He is a thief. A human master of stealth and skill. He is neither a warrior nor a magician, though his abilities are so unique and well-honed that it is a foolish party of adventurers that do not count one of his ilk among their number. Scout and sneak, he can deal handily with traps and locks to keep harm from his allies and secure the best loot. He is not bad in a scrap either.
