Luzan
Luzan are one of the oldest cultures in Dheghom, the living remnants of a faded, golden-age past. The two great lineages of their people, the Aos Sí and the Daoine Sí, both live in the long shadow of what they once were. Their long lives force them to bear witness to their own slow, inexorable decline, making them a people of profound beauty and equally profound sorrow.
Aos Sí
Aos Sí are a Luzan lineage, typically standing between 6 and 7 feet tall with slender, willowy frames. Their skin tones range from olive to a deep bronze, and their features are refined and angular. Their hair is most often dark, ranging from deep brown to black, though some possess hair of a rich auburn or copper. Their eyes are typically of bright, clear colors, such as green, amber, or grey.
Culture and History
To be an Aos Sí is to be a living remnant of a golden age, taught that your people are the keepers of Dheghom's true history and that individual merit is the only legitimate source of authority. Your society has no formal leaders; you follow the proven warrior and heed the wise elder out of respect, not obligation. Your traditions elevate this freedom as the purest form of civilization, an ember alight in a world that has otherwise fallen to darkness and ruin.
This veneration of the individual, however, has rendered your people incapable of collective action in the face of extinction. While your warriors fight and die alongside Avenarian allies to hold back the Fomorians, your society as a whole is paralyzed by inaction. Lacking any obligation, your people cannot muster a unified army or forge a national strategy for survival. Your culture is a paradox of individual heroism and collective decline, a nation of brilliant individuals whose refusal to yield their autonomy threatens your civilization to eventually fade into the very history you so deeply admire.

Daoine Sí
Daoine Sí are a Luzan lineage, typically standing between 5 and 7 feet tall with gaunt, willowy frames. Their skin is unnaturally pale, often taking on a greyish or alabaster hue, and their features are sharp and severe. Their hair is most often white, silver, or black, growing long and lank. Their eyes are usually shades of gray, blue, or purple.
Culture and History
To be a Daoine Sí is to be a keeper of a memory you have never known. Your culture is an echo of the Aos Sí, one of poetry, art, and a reverence for life that now seems like a cruel irony. You remain in the rotting city of Killan not as a prisoner, but as a sworn guardian, refusing to abandon the Evergreen Isle and the queen-goddess no one alive has ever seen. You are raised on the tales of her existence and the vibrant world that was, and you fight to preserve that past against an endless tide of the dead.
This devotion, however, is the engine of your extinction. The magic you use to defend your queen's empty throne is the same force that fuels the island's ever-rising Aetheric Saturation, ensuring the dead you fight today will be outnumbered by the dead you must fight tomorrow. Your people are rudderless, as the self-proclaimed Stewards of the Queen vie for control of a people who do not care to listen. You fight and die for the love of a goddess you know only from stories, in a dying city that your own struggle pushes closer to its end.

Luzan Traits
Creature Type: Humanoid Size: Medium (about 5–7 feet tall) Speed: 30 feet
As Luzan, you have these special traits:
Darkvision. You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet.
Wisdom of Age. You have proficiency in the Insight skill.
Mental Link. As an Action you may form a mental link to a creature you can see, that creature must know a language to be affected. This link lasts 10 minutes. Until the link ends, you may communicate with this creature telepathically regardless of whether or not you share a language. The link is broken if you get further than a mile away, or you and the creature are no longer on the same plane. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
Luzan Lineage. You are part of a lineage that grants you supernatural abilities. Choose a lineage from the Luzan Lineages table. You gain the level 1 benefit of that lineage. When you reach character levels 3 and 5, you learn a higher-level spell, as shown on the table. You always have that spell prepared. You can cast it once without a spell slot, and you regain the ability to cast it in that way when you finish a Long Rest. You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level.
Aos Sí. Once per Short rest, as a Bonus Action, you can detect the location of any Fey within 60 feet of yourself. This awareness lasts for 10 min or until you have the Incapacitated condition.
Daoine Sí. Once per Short rest, as a Bonus Action, you can detect the location of any Undead within 60 feet of yourself. This awareness lasts for 10 min or until you have the Incapacitated condition.
